Remote Sensing Data Types
There are many types of remotely sensed data. Today, we are familiar with the satellite images shown in Google Earth or Google Maps (any many other websites and software), but these are not the only, or sometimes even the best, data for a particular application. The lessons in this section introduce students to lidar, radar, unmanned aerial systems (UAS), thermal imagery, hyperspectral data, and aerial photography.
